GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) Congressman Scott Tipton is making a visit to the western slope. On Thursday night the Congressman held a town hall meeting in Delta. The town hall was packed wall to wall.

The congressman even met his constituents before the meeting started. The main issue that Tipton was asked about was immigration. The congressman also talked about education, the economy, and his position on Syria.

"I want to be very clear I don't think that American lives, American interest, is going to be served by committing U.S. troops to be able to go over or to be able to use U.S. weapons for this," says Congressman Tipton.

The congressman is holding more events in our area on Friday. He will also be speaking at Club 20's annual fall meeting on Saturday.

Tipton will be up on the Mesa Friday morning and he’ll be talking about the expansion plan for Powderhorn, and the economic impact.
