MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KKCO) - A Clifton man has been identified as the victim in an accident on the train tracks Wednesday night.

The Mesa County Coroner's Office says it's completed its examination into the incident and say the victim was Travis Lunde, 34, of Clifton.

Lunde was hit by the train at the intersection of 33 Road and the train tracks around 9:15 p.m. Wednesday.

The Coroner says his cause of death is multiple injuries and the manner of death, at this time, appears to be an accident. However, toxicology results are not expected back for another three to four weeks.

The incident backed up car and train traffic for three hours last night as the Coroner's Office and Mesa County Sheriff's Office processed the scene.
