GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - The Mesa County Coroner has identified the body of a man found Sunday evening in an irrigation canal.

The Mesa County Coroner's Office reports the body is that of 51-year-old Kenneth Cottingham. He was the subject of a missing person investigation after his wife said he disappeared Tuesday.

Cottingham's body was found Sunday evening in an irrigation canal not far from where his truck was found. The Coroner says due to the manner of his death, no further information will be released. Grand Junction Police say they've closed their investigation, nothing suspicious was found surrounding Cottingham's death.
