Delta County investigators say alcohol may have fueled a fight between two friends.

DELTA COUNTY, Colo. (KKCO) - Delta County investigators say alcohol may have fueled a fight between two friends.
According to the Delta County Sheriff's Office, Gregory Thompson, 34, was shot in the abdomen by Galen Forrester Wood, 31, Monday evening, sometime around 7:30pm.
Investigators say alcohol was involved, and Wood may have shot Thompson for not leaving a residence.
They say the bullet exited through the victim's back. Thompson was airlifted to a hospital in Grand Junction. He is recovering from his wounds.
Wood is being held on a $60,000 bond at the Delta County jail on 1st Degree Assault, Felony Menacing, and Illegal Discharge of a Weapon.
