Students use their free time to give back

FRUITA, Colo. (KKCO) With many students off from school Wednesday one local club gave families the chance to give back, while still enjoying their free time.

The Kiwanis Club of Grand Junction held a food drive at moon farm to collect donations for the Community Food Bank.

As kids the picked out their pumpkins, ran through the mazes and enjoyed hay rides, members of the Kiwanis Club handed out candy and collected canned food.

In total they collected more than 40 pounds of goods.
