A 3.9 magnitude earthquake hit the Grand Valley at 9:46 P.M. on Wednesday, leaving residents feeling a little shook up.

The quake hit about 24 miles West of Nucla, directly South of Grand Junction and Montrose County.

Residents as far North as the Redlands and Mack felt the earthquake.

It was originally reported as a 4.4. magnitude earthquake but has since been downgraded to 3.9 magnitude.

KKCO 11 News Weatherman Butch McCain says the earthquake is likely to rattle some dishes in your cupboard if you are near the epicenter, but no serious damage has been reported.
