City Council seats:
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- One thing is clear from the municipal election: Voters want a change on the Grand Junction City Council. All three incumbents were taken out by challengers with a couple of clear winners from the beginning.
New council members said they are ready to hit the ground running.
"I'm really ready to get to work. Through the process you start developing some real strong opinions on how you can improve the community," said At Large City Council winner Rick Brainer.
District A winner Phyllis Norris said she believes in building business and bringing jobs.
"I'm feeling very excited, and I feel great that I have so many people that have so much confidence in me to vote for me, and I'll do all I can to make sure I do what they want on city council," said Norris.
A common theme among those elected was excitement.
"It's excitement that it's over, and I get to start doing the job," said Brainard.
