Mesa County, Colo. (KKCO) --- The westbound lanes of I-70, 9 miles east of the Utah border at mile marker nine, shut down this afternoon around 2:38 p.m. due to a fatal trike motorcycle accident.
Two men were involved in the accident.
One died on the scene and the other was airlifted to St. Mary's hospital with serious injuries.
The Harley Davidson trike motorcycle went off the left side of the road and rolled, ejecting both occupants.
One westbound lane is now open; the other will remain closed until the investigation is finished.
