GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)- While you open presents and enjoy a big Christmas feast, you probably aren’t wishing you were at work today.

There aren’t many, but some businesses have kept their doors open today.

IHOP opened for their regular hours, 5 a.m. to midnight, and had a pretty normal day, according to their general manager April Irwin.

“Everybody’s been real nice. All the employees get along; we’re a big happy family here, so we’re having a good day today,” said Irwin.

One IHOP customer Dean Ward. stopped in during his long day at work, too.

“Christmas day is to enjoy, not to work, but if you’ve got to work, you’ve got to make money. That’s the way it is," said Ward of his holiday workday.
