LOS ANGELES (AP) -- A wildfire raging along the fringes of Southern California communities has grown to more than 10 square miles.
Ventura County Fire Department spokeswoman Myrna Pinon says the blaze that broke out Thursday morning near Camarillo and Thousand Oaks has spread over 6,500 acres.
The blaze 50 miles west of Los Angeles has forced evacuations of neighborhoods and California State University, Channel Islands.
