GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) Local law enforcement will be donating $1808.57 to the United Way of Mesa County.
The Grand Junction Police Department, the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office and the city of Grand Junction teamed up to host this year's yard sale to benefit the local non-profit.
Law enforcement employees donated books, furniture, clothes and more to sell Saturday.
"It's the perfect time of year that people can clean out their garages and their attics and the money goes to a great cause," said Terri Gird, of the Grand Junction Police Department. "The United Way is so active here that it works out perfect for them as well."
Breakfast burritos, hot dogs and baked goods were also available for hungry bargain hunters to buy.
