GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) The Girl Scouts of Colorado are asking for your help in giving girls across the Western Slope a chance to be a part of a program more than 100-years-old.
Adult volunteers are desperately needed to lead troops in Clifton, Fruitvale and Palisade.
While there are more than fifty troops here in Western Colorado, Girl Scouts officials say they need at least fifty more.
"We have lots of girls that are on a wait list waiting to be in Girl Scouts and waiting to be in troops," says Girl Scouts of Colorado Program Support Specialist, Virginia Brown. "[We] don't have the volunteers and Girl Scouts is a volunteer-driven organization."
