GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. They provide us with some of our favorite cookies every year, but now the Girl Scouts of Grand Junction are in need of some help.
They are in need of adult volunteers to lead dozens of girls who are waiting to get involved with a troop.
The organization has several spots to fill that can cater to any time commitment.
The Girl Scouts is hoping to have a troop available in every area that a girl lives or goes to school in.
"Girl Scouts builds confidence and courage and leadership in our community," says Hilary Martin of the Girl Scouts of Colorado. "Being able to build this fundamental leadership aspect, it's really important."
To be a volunteer you must be 18 or older and go through an application process that involves a background check. Troop leaders will typically give about two hours a week for meetings.
