GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- It's "The Biggest Loser" Grand Junction style as members of the community set out to transform their lives.

The Gold's Gym 12-week challenge inspired members of the community to get fit. For the fifth year, dozens of people changed their eating habits and dropped the unwanted weight.

Wednesday night, the winners of the program were recognized.

"I had a winner, she won her age group, 40-49, she lost 10 pant sizes. Lost about 39 pounds and definitely is still climbing," said Gold’s Gym Personal Trainer Christian Peacore.

Officials at Gold's Gym say the key to weight loss in such a short amount of time was to listen to their trainers, focusing on cardio and diet.

Trainers at the gym are available year round, but the 12-Week Challenge kicks off every January.
