Gov. Hickenlooper stopping in GJ today

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- Just one week from Election Day, Governor John Hickenlooper will promote the importance of voting here on the Western Slope.

But first, Hickenlooper will be at Two Rivers Convention Center today to deliver a keynote speech at the Grand Junction Economic Partnership's annual meeting. The event starts at noon.

Then, the governor will stop at the Grand Junction Obama for America office at 2:45 p.m.

There, Hickenlooper plans to thank volunteers who have promoted the campaign locally, and he will remind people why voting is so important, if they haven't been to the polls yet.
