GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- Line of shovels rooted into the ground of the construction zone for the new Canyon View Medical Plaza.

Officials broke ground on the first of the two-phase medical campus Wednesday.

The new home of the wide range community plaza will include a medical office building and hospital.

The center is scripted to be one of Colorado’s premier outpatient medical centers. The new 87,000 square foot facility will provide the home for eight practices.

This first phase should be complete by December of next year
