"Harold and Kumar" actor in GJ for Obama support

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- Kumar is taking a detour from their trip to White Castle.

One of the stars of the comedy film will be in Grand Junction today, speaking to students at Colorado Mesa University on behalf of the Obama campaign.

Actor Kal Penn has been active throughout President Obama’s fight for reelection, even hosting the 2012 Democratic National Convention and being featured in an "Obama for America" ad.

He'll be talking to students about how the president is fighting to improve access to affordable education, speaking on behalf of the Obama-Biden ticket.

Penn will be at CMU today at 5 p.m., just after making a stop at Colorado Mountain College in Glenwood Springs earlier this afternoon.
