AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (AP) -- A pretrial hearing is scheduled for an Air Force Academy cadet facing sexual misconduct charges.

Jamil Cooks is scheduled to appear Thursday at a hearing for military officials to decide whether he should face a court-martial on charges of aggravated sexual assault, aggravated sexual conduct and attempted sodomy.

Neither Cooks nor his attorney immediately responded to a request for comment placed through academy officials Monday.

Charges against Cooks were announced in September after he was removed from the academy football team.

In December, Cooks was jailed when officials said they were investigating new allegations of entering the rooms of two female cadets.

The Colorado Springs Gazette reported the new allegations included abusive sexual contact, attempted abusive sexual contact and indecent viewing.

Academy officials haven't said whether new charges are planned.
