Grand Junction, Colo. Heather Jensen, the Palisade mom whose two young sons, William and Tyler died after being left in her running SUV on the Grand Mesa was found guilty of child abuse and lying to authorities, but the jury found she was not criminally negligent in their deaths.
The 25-year-old was charged with two counts of criminally-negligent homicide, two counts of child abuse resulting in death and false reporting to authorities.
Closing arguments in the trial ended Wednesday night. The jury, consisting of eight women and four men, deliberated more than 24 hours before reaching their decision.
Jensen is still in custody at the Mesa County Justice center. Sentencing has been scheduled for late March.
