Local veteran receives a car

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Through the Grand Junction Lions Club's Random Acts of Kindness program, a local veteran is the proud new owner of a vehicle.

Rickey Clark was handed the keys to a 1989 Cadillac Deville Monday. He's been without a vehicle for about two years, doing whatever it takes to get to work.

Clark arrived at the Foreign Aid Repair Shop just after with his family not knowing he'd be leaving with a new set of wheels.

"I'm at a loss," Clark said. "My heart is like...and it's like I didn't expect this. I really didn't. I was hoping, but i didn't expect it at all. This is unreal. Thank you so much."

Many local businesses has major contributions to the gift...Including the Foreign Aid, Shiners, Napa Auto Parts, and Dan Geer Insurance.
