Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO)- Local brewing company Kannah Creek is changing its logo, as the brewery plans to add a distillery and distribute two of its beers statewide.
Kannah Creek is planning on adding the distillery in Grand Junction, down by the river off of 9th and Struthers Street.
The two beers Kannah Creek plans on distributing statewide, Standing Way Pale Ale and Lands in Amber Ale, have both won blue ribbon awards.
Managing Partner Eric Ross says, “We’re very proud of being from the Western Slope. We would like to see this be recognized as a beer whose origins are Grand Junction and the Western Slope.”
With Grand Junction’s outdoor activities, wine country, and now Kannah Creek, distributing statewide should be one more reason to attract money from outside the Grand Valley.
According to Barb Bowman with Grand Junction Visitor and Convention Bureau, tourism is a huge economic driver, and each visitor is worth around 150 dollars.
With a new logo, plans to distribute Kannah Creek beer statewide, and plans on a new distillery, Kannah Creek is creating a buzz around Junction.
