MESA COUNTY, Colo. Making your New Year's Eve party plans should include a way to get home safely.

New Year's Eve is one of the most dangerous nights for impaired drivers. As bars brace for the holiday rush is law enforcement. Which is why Brandy Litz and her friends made sure they wouldn't be caught behind the wheel after a night of drinking.

"We are taking a limo ride from the hotel to the distillery and back here to the hotel again," said Litz.

The Wine Country Inn in Palisade teamed with The Peach Street Distillery to host the "Peach Street Bash' which included a hotel room, two tickets to the Peach Street Distillers party and a limo service between the bar and the hotel.

For cab companies, like Sunshine Taxi, tonight is the busiest night of the year.

"We rent more vehicles for the night and everyone in our fleet is on the road," said Mike Mower a Sunshine Taxi Driver.

There is also an option to get a sober driver behind the wheel of your vehicle by using the 'Designated Driver Service' in the valley. The company makes sure you and your car get home safe, but they aren't responsible for vehicle insurance or damages. After midnight, that service is by appointment only. You can call them at 434-9197.

Sunshine Taxi says they are busy, but ready for your call. They can be reached at 245- 8294.
