GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (AP) -- Authorities say a Rifle-area man was killed when the vehicle he was working on apparently fell on top of him.

Garfield County deputy coroner Chandra Mortensen tells the Associated Press that 73-year-old Bill Jewell's wife found him dead at the couple's home when she returned from work Wednesday.

Mortensen says she is still waiting on autopsy results, but all indications are that Jewell was crushed to death by the vehicle.
