GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. With the March 31st deadline quickly approaching, connect for health colorado is looking to get as many people signed up for healthcare before time runs out.
At Friday's mass enrollment event, Connect for Health Colorado brokers were available to guide people through the sometimes confusing enrollment process and the many different healthcare plans.
"There's many educated people here, so all their questions can be answered and its at absolutely no cost to the consumer," says Connect for Health Colorado broker, Stever Griser.
For those who do not make the March 31st deadline, there will be a federal penalty totalling one percent of their yearly income or 95 dollars per adult and 47-50 per child in the house depending which is higher.
The next open enrollment period for healthcare plans will be in October.
