MONTROSE, Colo. (AP) -- The Montrose City Council is scheduled to consider a permanent ban on the retail sale of marijuana in the city.
The Daily Press reports (http://bit.ly/16A944s ) the council previously passed a six-month moratorium on the consideration of applications by businesses that want to sell pot, and it will meet Tuesday night for a first reading on an ordinance that would make that prohibition permanent.
Colorado voters passed Amendment 64 in November, allowing for the recreational use and sale of small amounts of marijuana by those 21 and older.
