Montrose hit and run investigation

MONTROSE, Colo. The Montrose Police Department is asking for the public's help in a hit and run investigation.

The incident happened Tuesday just before 7:00 p.m. as police responded to a car versus pedestrian crash on the 400 block of South 12th Street.

The male victim was walking southbound in a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle headed westbound on South 12th, who then fled the scene.

The victim is in the hospital after sustaining serious injuries.

Police are seeking information on the suspect or the car as the investigation continues.
