GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) School is back in session and parents should remember now that their kids are back in a confined space and around other kids, and a bug is spreading.

Symptoms of the mystery virus include respiratory issues, nausea and vomiting.

Dr. Donald Nicolay said the best prevention tips are washing your hands and staying hydrated.

Health Assistant at West Middle School, Vickie Sommerville, adds that not sharing food or drinks with anyone will also prevent you from getting sick.

If you do start feeling under the weather, it is important to rest your body in order to boost your immune system.
