NEW DETAILS: Identity of Delicious Drive shooting victim released

MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KKCO) - The Mesa County Sheriff's Office has released additional information about a double shooting on Delicious Drive Wednesday night.

The incident sent two people to the hospital; one is suffering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Just after 5:50 p.m., deputies responded to reports of a suicidal person. As they approached the home, they heard a gunshot. Deputies didn't go inside, but two adults came out.

Officials believe a 31-year-old man shot himself in the upper chest or shoulder area. The bullet went through his body and hit 30-year-old Crystal Stubblefield-Mannon, who was also in the room. The man's identity is being withheld.

Both are recovering at the hospital from their wounds. Officials say no one has been arrested at this time and aren't certain if anyone will be. A search warrant was issued for the home at 3304 Delicious Dr.

Two other adults and two children were home at the time of the incident.
