GRAND JUNCTION, Colo (KKCO) - Voting in the caucuses in future elections should be easier for some Mesa County residents.
The Mesa County Commissioners approved changes to 9 of the 57 precincts at their meeting this morning.
Officials say the changes will help residents get through the process more quickly when it comes time to vote or attend a caucus as fewer voters will be in those precincts.
"It's based on either voters having to travel really far to their caucus events or that we were a little bit over or near the 2,000 active voter cap," said Catherine Lenhart, Mesa County election director.
The adjustments will go into effect in a few weeks.
