New health insurance ads cause controversy

COLORADO A new series of advertisements for health insurance is so shocking some people wonder if they're even real.

Ads from The Colorado Consumer Health Initiative and ProgressNow Colorado Education previously targeted men with a series of 'Brosurance' advertisements; this time, women are the core demographic.

Some of the ads encourage women to take advantage of free birth control offered by health insurance, and others promote vaccinations by likening them to drinking a 'shot-ski'.

The ads are shown in the slideshow above.
