DURANGO, Colo. (AP) -- Authorities aren't saying whether their search of the home of the father of Dylan Redwine turned up any clues in the 13-year-old boy's disappearance and death.
La Plata County investigators searched Mark Redwine's southwestern Colorado home Wednesday with the help of the FBI and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation. Mark Redwine told KUSA-TV they removed sections of carpet and wood flooring, dug a hole in his yard, and took a fireplace poker, clothing and a cellphone.
Sheriff's spokesman Dan Bender said Thursday that the office won't comment on what was found.
Sheriff Duke Schirard told The Durango Herald (http://bit.ly/14NFFnr ) that the search was "just a follow up on the still wide-open investigation."
Dylan Redwine disappeared while visiting his father in November. His remains were found in June about 10 miles away.
