KKCO 11News (Grand Junction) – The Palisade Fire Department was chosen by Daisy Scout Troop 10034 as this year's Everyday Heroes. The scouts brought the firefighters Girl Scout cookies, and then were given a tour of the new Palisade fire house.
The girls were impressed with the fire station and equipment. Some of them say they want to grow up to be just like their heroes.
The cookies given to the firefighters by the scouts were donated by local community members. The scouts only give out the Everyday Hero award once a year.
