Palmer announces intention to run for County Commissioner

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo (KKCO) Former Grand Junction Mayor and City Council Member Gregg Palmer will announce his intention to run for county commissioner later this week.

On Wednesday, Palmer will make the announcement on the steps of the Old Mesa County Courthouse that he will run for County Commissioner in District two. That seat is currently held by Steve Acquafresca.

According to a news release from Palmer, introductions will be made by former Mesa County Commissioner, State Senator and CU Trustee Tillie Bishop.

The announcement is scheduled for 1:25 p.m.
