GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - One hundred lucky dogs received a free rabies and distemper vaccination on Tuesday via the Tiara Rado Animal Clinic.
The clinic has been holding this event in the fall and in the spring for four years, hoping to stamp out pet diseases in Mesa County.
“Rabies and distemper vaccinations are very important for pets," says Tiara Rado office manager Kourtni Weinischke, "for their health and also to prevent diseases being spread to other pets in the community. So being able to do this at no charge really helps keep Mesa County contained as far as disease is concerned."
If you missed out this spring, don't worry because they'll be doing another round of shots in the fall, and this time it will include cats.
