MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KKCO) At around 6:00 p.m. Monday night, a plane headed from Alamosa, Colorado to Ogden, Utah was forced to make an emergency landing near the Mack Mesa Airport.

The Mesa County Sheriff's Office says that while the plane was attempting to land it bounced off a runway, went over a hill and ended up on near R Road.

The unidentified pilot and his two passengers suffered minor injuries. Authorities say the men went to Grand Junction Regional Airport where they rented a car and continued their trip.

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating.
