POWDERHORN, Colo. The summer season seems like it is rapidly coming to an end and many of Colorado’s mountain resorts are already showing a big increase in lodging revenues for the season.

Our very own Powderhorn Mountain Resort is expecting to see even bigger numbers after debuting their very first summer full of events.

Dave Smith from the resort said the popularity of all of this year's events have Powderhorn excited for next summer.

"It's been a very successful summer for us, it was certainly a building block for summers to come and we're looking forward to continuing on with these events," said Smith.

Powderhorn says they intend on keeping all of the events they held this year and working on making them even bigger for next summer.

According to Destimetrics, a Denver based travel research firm, mountain resort revenues are up 7 percent from last year.

Powderhorn will end their summer season with the fall fest on September 20-21st. To see a full list of Powderhorn's event visit the link to the right.
