Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO) --- This Thursday, the Western Colorado Red Cross chapter held a telethon to raise money for wildfire relief.
More than 2,000 Coloradans donated a total of $135,000.
"We were very excited to see Colorado residents rally around these recent disasters and support other Coloradans in need," said Western Colorado Red Cross Executive Director, Eric Myers.
Myers says that Red Cross volunteers are spread out across the state providing help with the relief effort.
Although they say that they aren't accepting donations for supplies right now, the Red Cross is always looking for new volunteers.
