GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Saturday, the Mesa County Republican assembly meeting covered everything from senate and commissioner races to ways to boost the economy.
The largest issue issue on the agenda involves attracting young professionals back to the Grand Valley and creating more locally based jobs.
"We have a lot of excitement, we have a lot of great candidates, i'm a candidate myself, so we're looking forward to see how the results come out, and we're looking forward to the general election, come November."
Mesa county Republicans expect big things to happen in the coming 2014 elections.
Their Democratic counterparts held their county assembly meeting last Sunday to discuss their election plans.
