SUV crashes into former hardware store

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) – An SUV slipped on the icy roads Monday morning, crashing into a former Redlands store.

Grand Junction Police spokesperson Kate Porras says a woman was driving southeast on Broadway-- going about 20 miles per hour in a 45 mph zone-- when her SUV hit a patch of ice.

She slid off the road and rammed into the building which used to house ACE Hardware.

The driver was not injured, and she was not cited for the incident.
