Soldier held on child luring, sex assault charges
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) -- A Fort Carson soldier suspected of exposing himself to and trying to lure several pre-teen girls to have sex with him over a period of two years has been arrested.
The Gazette reports 1st Lt. Aaron G. Lucas is being held on several warrants after authorities say they tied him to crimes over a wide area. Fountain police arrested him Oct. 23, and he is being held at the El Paso County jail on sex assault charges.
Fountain detectives say that after the arrest they learned several agencies in the area were investigating incidents that involved Lucas for similar crimes, including a report of at least one kidnapping.
Lucas is part of the 1st Brigade Combat Team of the 4th Infantry Division.
