Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO) - Strive is the new name for Mesa Developmental Services, (MDS) as the non-profit celebrates the roll out of its new name and identity.
There was a large turnout for the announcement including clients benefiting from services and elected officials.
Mesa Developmental Services has been part of the Mesa County community for 47 years. Leaders think the name change is a better reflection of the work the organization is now doing.
Strive, formally MDS, provides services to Mesa County children and adults with disabilities, and plays a big part in the community.
Officials say the organization's future includes striving to offer more development options, see more growth and build more partnerships.
