A late night stop for a snack leaves a man without his food and without his pick up truck.
The Grand Junction Police Department reported to the Grand Junction Wienerschnitzel around 11 p.m. Saturday night.
When officers arrived, a man told them he had purchased food through the drive through and parked behind the building. That's when an unknown suspect jumped in the bed of the truck, smashing out his back windows.
The driver left his truck, that's when the suspect jumped in and drove away.
Police found the vehicle abandoned about a block away. It was missing some personal items, but fortunately the victim was not injured.
