Three Canon City police officers are recovering from minor injuries after they were attacked by a sword-wielding man.

CANON CITY, Colo. (AP) Three Canon City police officers are recovering from minor injuries after they were attacked by a sword-wielding man.

Canon City police Capt. Jim Cox said officers were checking out a report of a disturbance Thursday when they found a man in the doorway of an apartment armed with a sword and yelling and screaming.

According to the Pueblo Chieftain, police forced their way in and tried to subdue the man when they were attacked.
