GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) In Mesa county the DA's office only sees about two or three welfare fraud cases each year, as of this week a third case has been sent in.
The Mesa County Department of Human Services fraud and recovery unit recently forwarded the third suspected fraud case this year to the District Attorney's office.
The particular case includes five counts of fraud involving the temporary assistance for needy families program.
Officials say the five counts of fraud total more than 37 hundred dollars, but that no one has been arrested yet.
