GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- Police looking for an armed suspect who robbed the Twice Upon a Time book store around 11:30 a.m. Thursday.
According to Grand Junction Police spokesperson Kate Porras, the man threatened an employee with a handgun and took an undisclosed amount of cash.
The store-- located at 2885 North Avenue #B -- is closed right now. Two customers and two employees were inside at the time of the robbery.
Porras says an employee saw the suspect running toward the North Avenue Wal-Mart, but when officers searched the store, they did not find him.
A perimeter has been set up in the area. The suspect is described as a white man, age 35 to 45, between 5'10" and 6'4" tall, heavy built with facial hair and dark brown, greasy hair. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt.
Nisley Elementary was put in a shelter-in-place as a precaution, but the school has been cleared. No children were in the classrooms, as parent-teacher conferences are today.
