Grand Junction, Colo (KKCO) --- The 20th Annual Children’s Water Festival brought nearly 2,500 5th graders from all over Western Colorado to participate in the event.
Hosted at Colorado Mesa University, the festival had interactive stations where kids got hands on experience and learned about water functions and conservation techniques.
The goal of the festival was to introduce the students to water careers, to match what they are learning in the classroom and apply it to hands on activities and to encourage higher education by holding it on a college campus.
This event was the largest in Water Festival history.
