PALISADE, Colo. (KKCO) Festival organizers say this year's Colorado Mountain Winefest was the most successful ever with more than 5,800 attendees crowding Palisade on Saturday afternoon.

The 22nd annual event saw visitors from thirty-eight states and at least three countries including Poland and Canada.

Local winemakers say the event grows every year and organizers saw the spike early on in planning.

"We had been experiencing record pre-sale numbers which was really exciting," says Executive Director of the Colorado Association for Viticulture and Enology, Cassidee Shull. "We had fantastic weather we were very fortunate for that and we had all kinds of day-of sales as well."

Officials say the Tour D'Vineyards, also saw a huge turn out and had about 800 people sign up for the twenty-five mile ride through Palisade.
