TACOMA , Washington (KKCO) - The family of missing Utah woman Susan Powell spoke Saturday at a funeral service for her two young boys, who were killed last Sunday when their father attacked them with an axe and then burned down their home.

The boys' grandparents, Chuck and Judy Cox, walked to the podium and expressed their thanks to everyone who cared about the boys, seven-year-old Charlie and five-year-old Braden.

Many wore purple and blue ribbons in memory of the brothers, whose remains were placed in one coffin.

Chuck Cox said it helps to know there are good people in the world.

"Charlie and Braden we were privileged to provide support for the last three-and-a-half months. All their teachers, social workers, the police, everyone was doing everything they possibly could to keep them safe and to help them and love them. And we thank you for your support, we know that they're with their mother, thank you very much," says Cox.

The boys' father, Josh Powell, also died in the fire. He was a person of interest in the disappearance of his wife, Susan Powell, in 2009.
Friday, authorities announced they found a blood soaked comforter in his storage. It's to early to tell if it could belong to Susan.
