Colorado
Hospitals. Putting Safety First.

Safety
saves lives, just like medicine. And Colorado hospitals
are doing everything they can to improve the safety
and quality of the care they provide.

Through the Colorado
100k Lives Campaign
, Colorado hospitals are further
strengthening their patient safety efforts and saving
even more lives. The statewide campaign is part of a
national effort to save 100,000 lives this year, and
every year thereafter, by applying six proven safeguards
in patient care.

Nationwide, nearly 3,000 hospitals are
participating in the 100k Lives campaign. In Colorado,
62 of the state’s 71 acute care hospitals are
participating in the effort.

The Colorado campaign is being supported
by The
Colorado Trust
, a grant making foundation dedicated
to advancing the health and well-being of the people
of Colorado. The Trust is proud to partner with the
Institute
for Healthcare Improvement
and the
Colorado Foundation for Medical Care
in this $3.8
million, 18-month effort to help hospitals statewide
to further strengthen their quality improvement systems,
ensuring safe patient care.
