Fruita, COLO. Mesa County Sheriff Officers have caught two men accused of breaking into a car in the Pollock’s trail parking area just south of Fruita.
Authorities say that two hikers had their car broken into and stole $1,600 of property and did an estimated $1,000 worth of damage to their car.
The two men; John Deflaco and Seth Burkholder were booked Thursday in the mesa county jail
The men face charges of fraud and identity theft, first degree trespass, theft and criminal mischief.
The men were caught after trying to use the victim’s credit cards at a local bank.
